Karrie's life ended tragically on June 12, 2020, succumbing to Mantle Cell Lymphoma after fighting it for nearly a year.  It was a fight that all who knew and loved her were convinced she would win.  It was a fight that she too remained confident that she could win, right up until the end.  She should have beat it.  Her loss has left a massive hole in many hearts -- mine, her daughter, her step-children, her parents, her siblings, her aunts, uncles, in-laws, friends, you name it.  She touched the hearts of so many people -- near and far.  It is extremely difficult to come to terms with and accept she's gone.  Yes, she will live in our hearts forever, but that is a heavy trade-off from having her here with us now.  I miss her.  I love you, Karrie.

She lived her life by the motto, "Live the life you love."
